STUDENT REGULATIONS

CHAPTER I

DISCIPLINARY CONDUCT

ARTICLE 1. The disciplinary guidelines in this document intend to encourage the values of JOSEPH RITZ, harmonious coexistence, and the protection of the property and rights arising from the relationship between THE INSTITUTION and its students.

ARTICLE 2. JOSEPH RITZ promotes respect and cultural diversity, including the beliefs, traditions, and customs of its students and collaborators, provided they do not constitute a disciplinary offense.

ARTICLE 3. Offenses or breaches: These are student conducts that comprise a breach of these regulations, and which may be committed within the physical facilities, virtual environments, or digital environments of JOSEPH RITZ, or outside of them directed towards any of THE INSTITUTION's collaborators or the rest of the educational community.

The following are considered Disciplinary Offenses:

a- Conduct by the student that is detrimental to the good name or prestige of THE INSTITUTION.

b- Breach of THE INSTITUTION's regulations.

c- Intentional conduct that violates the Human Rights (HR) or Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) of the students or collaborators of JOSEPH RITZ.

e- Consuming, remaining, or appearing within the physical facilities, virtual environments, or digital environments of JOSEPH RITZ under the influence of illegal substances and/or intoxicating beverages.

f- Intimidation or extortion of students and/or collaborators of JOSEPH RITZ.

g- Any act tending to disrupt the free exercise of teaching or attendance at academic activities of any kind, whether the act is committed individually or collectively.

k- Theft or damage to physical, virtual, or digital spaces; as well as to furniture, equipment, platforms, and tangible or intangible property owned by THE INSTITUTION or any of its providers.

l- Any unlawful action carried out within the physical facilities, virtual environments, or digital environments of THE INSTITUTION, or outside of them if it affects any of its collaborators or students.

m- Failure to fulfill any of their duties pursuant to this document.

CHAPTER II

STUDENT RIGHTS AND DUTIES

ARTICLE 4. The rights and duties of the student are those established in the enrollment, registration, or contract with JOSEPH RITZ and those established in the code of conduct and/or student regulations.

ARTICLE 5. Student Duties.

a- Comply with the rules and provisions contained in the Student Regulations and Code of Conduct published on THE INSTITUTION's website.

b- Comply with THE INSTITUTION's conditions to achieve the expected level, strictly adhering to the requirements of JOSEPH RITZ and preserving all evidence of having done so.

c- Take the placement test in the event of having prior knowledge; it is the responsibility of each student to notify THE INSTITUTION of their need to take it. The placement test may only be taken once and during the first module/course of the program, and it may incur an additional cost for the user or student. For a user or student to take the test again, it must be authorized by THE INSTITUTION and a fee must be paid for it.

d- Complete at least 80% of the homework assigned in each module/course and preserve evidence thereof.

e- Take and execute the necessary measures for remediation in case of absences or poor performance, based on the recommendations requested from THE INSTITUTION. Remedial courses may be taken at THE INSTITUTION, for which the student must pay the corresponding amount for the lessons required for their remediation; likewise, THE INSTITUTION may authorize the administration of an extemporaneous exam or similar assessment, and if authorized, THE INSTITUTION may charge a fee for it.

f- Report to JOSEPH RITZ any anomaly that threatens the interests of THE INSTITUTION.

g- Comply with the established schedules and attend the lessons or classes included within the purchased program. Likewise, the student must complete the homework, workshops, or similar assignments issued by the teacher or the institution through any medium, channel, or platform to make up for lessons or sessions not attended due to holidays, civic days, or days declared unfit for activities by any authority. The unguided hours on the aforementioned days are understood and accepted as guided hours, as an activity will be assigned to replace such hours.

h- Punctually attend at least 80% of the lessons, as minutes of tardiness will accumulate and be counted as absences, thereby negatively affecting the minimum percentage required of the student.

i- The student commits to maintaining a minimum performance of 70%, corresponding to the weighted average of all grades for each module/course according to the variable percentages of each. THE INSTITUTION may retain the exams, evaluations, and other grades of the students.

j- The student, or their guardian in the case of a minor, is obligated to fulfill the payment of each of their financial duties with JOSEPH RITZ and to pay the totality of the stipulated installments, in the event that their payment is deferred by THE INSTITUTION. Failure to be up to date with any payment will preclude the procurement of benefits or services from THE INSTITUTION, including the delivery of materials (physical, virtual, or digital) or similar items.

k- The student commits to complying with the scheduled date, day, and time for meetings deemed necessary by THE INSTITUTION.

l- The student must return the signed contract and its annexes by the established dates. If a student begins their classes or tutoring without having signed the contract, it shall automatically be deemed accepted, given that its main text is founded upon these regulations. THE INSTITUTION may, at its sole discretion, decide to compress content in order to, for example, offer two modules/courses within the timeframe of one, without this incurring an additional cost to the student.

m- The student must refrain from using any electronic device during lessons for activities that are not directly related to the learning process.

n- The student must abide by the applicable rules regarding proper attire, without this infringing upon their rights.

o- The minor student must inform their parents or legal guardians of the obligation to sign a consent form to leave THE INSTITUTION's premises (in cases where there is any type of face-to-face attendance), which will ratify the exoneration of liability for JOSEPH RITZ. No minor may leave the premises of THE INSTITUTION unless authorized by one of the minor's responsible guardians. If the minor leaves the premises during their study schedule, this will be considered a very grave offense for flouting institutional and/or student regulations. THE INSTITUTION shall exercise control over the issue of departures from its premises exclusively during the student's class hours, and outside of these hours, it shall not be held liable for any consequence, accident, or action, since the responsible adult must remain with the minor at all times and has the authorization to enter the classroom (including virtual and digital environments) whenever desired for purposes of care and supervision.

p- The student may not consume food or beverages inside the classroom (when there is face-to-face attendance).

q- The student must contribute to keeping THE INSTITUTION (physical and its non-physical environments) orderly and in good condition.

r- The student must keep all their data updated in the systems and databases of THE INSTITUTION.

s- The student must strictly comply with each of the institutional regulations and policies and must submit to the established organizational channels based on its organizational chart. In accordance with current legislation, in the event of complaints, claims, petitions, or conflicts, the student must exhaust all internal instances of THE INSTITUTION before proceeding to external instances.

t- The student must stay constantly informed of any changes or updates to these regulations or any other regulations of THE INSTITUTION via the website of JOSEPH RITZ.

u- The student must pass the previous module/course in order to proceed to the next, demonstrating that they have acquired the required competencies and level; otherwise, they must repeat the module/course, which entails making the payments again. If the student fails to attend or fails to pass an exam or evaluation, THE INSTITUTION shall not be obligated to repeat it.

v- The student is obligated to accept the merging of their group with another in order to avoid its closure. This merger may take place at a different time, seeking some degree of proximity to their previous schedule.

w- The student must fulfill the totality of the payments specified in the contract, as no monetary refunds of any kind will be issued for any reason, including non-attendance at one or more of the lessons or sessions of each module/course or the exams; however, in the event that a monetary refund is exceptionally approved via judicial, administrative, or executive means, they shall receive the total amount equivalent to the unattended lessons or classes minus 20% of the total contract value for administrative and miscellaneous expenses. No refunds will be issued after the effective term of the educational services contract mentioned herein has expired. The student is obligated to pay any penalty, fine, or sanction described or mentioned in the contract, enrollment, or other agreement that has been executed.

ARTICLE 6. Student Rights

a- To receive the lessons comprising the purchased program, it being possible to orient up to 100% of the face-to-face classes, lessons, or sessions in virtual or digital environments, or through workshops or homework.

b- To receive virtual or digital material in good condition, where applicable.

c- To receive feedback regarding their level placement when requested by the student.

d- To file a claim with THE INSTITUTION in the event of poor product quality, so that THE INSTITUTION may replace them at no cost, strictly in applicable cases.

e- To receive basic technical assistance from THE INSTITUTION for the use of online multimedia resources in necessary cases when enrolled in a 100% virtual or digital modality. Digital classes, lessons, or sessions are equivalent to online classes, lessons, or sessions and do not require synchronous connection; likewise, digital environments are online environments and do not require synchronous connections either.

f- To submit claims, complaints, and petitions in writing and formally to the Administrative Management, in a timely and respectful manner, in accordance with the regulations of JOSEPH RITZ.

g- To request the termination of the contract due to the cancellation of the group in which they are enrolled for lacking a minimum of seven (7) students, provided that the student cannot adapt to another schedule (schedule being understood as a time slot). THE INSTITUTION may merge groups at any time to maintain the minimum number of students, even if they are of different ages.

CHAPTER III

DISCIPLINARY SANCTIONS

ARTICLE 7. Disciplinary Process.

All disciplinary processes shall be conducted in accordance with constitutional and legal principles.

a- The first instance involved in a disciplinary situation is the Administrative Management, which will summon the student in person or through any other channel to communicate the consequences of their actions verbally or in writing.

b- Recidivism in a behavior for which there is a prior record may be subject to evaluation by THE INSTITUTION to determine the sanction to be carried out, including expulsion or cancellation of the contract.

c- A grave disciplinary offense is considered to be one that may have legal implications or one that breaches any of the articles of these regulations, for which THE INSTITUTION may take as a sanctioning measure the expulsion of the student and/or the cancellation of the contract without THE INSTITUTION having to pay indemnification to the student.

ARTICLE 8. Classification of disciplinary offenses. Disciplinary offenses by students are classified as grave or minor for the purpose of executing the sanction. The grading criteria are as follows:

a- The nature of the offense and its effects.

b- Degree of participation in the offense.

c- Disciplinary record of the offender.
